A Wedding I Was Truly Excited About

There are some weddings you look forward to because they’re beautiful. Some because they’re fun. And then there are the ones you’re excited about because you just know the day is going to be special.

Matthew and Bethany’s wedding was one of those for me.

Why This One Stood Out from the Start

From the start, I was genuinely excited about this event. They found Top Shelf through Sorelle’s preferred vendor list, but what really stood out to me was when they told me at their tasting that they had been watching our socials and loved our drink posts. Anytime a couple connects with our brand that way, it tells me they care about the experience just as much as we do.

There was also an easy, natural connection from the beginning. Brett, one of our team members, knew Matthew, which made everything feel comfortable and familiar right away. It set the tone for a planning process that felt relaxed, collaborative, and fun.

Their wedding at Sorelle was exactly what they envisioned. Elegant, colorful, and truly a party.

One of the things that made this day even better was the vendor team. From start to finish, it was one of those days where everyone was on the same page. The energy was calm, organized, and fun, which makes such a difference behind the scenes. Working alongside a team that communicates well and genuinely enjoys what they do always elevates the entire experience, and this group was no exception. It was the kind of vendor lineup that reminds you how good events can be when everyone is working toward the same goal.

Their Love Story

Their love story is one of my favorites. They met at church, though they’ll tell you they also matched on Hinge. Almost two years later, Matthew planned a proposal Bethany never saw coming. What she thought was a nice dinner downtown turned into a private moment at the botanical gardens, complete with rose petals, framed photos lining the path, and family quietly watching as Matthew got down on one knee. It was thoughtful and intentional, and that same energy carried into their wedding day.

One of the most meaningful moments came before Bethany walked down the aisle. As Matthew stood at the altar, a recording of Bethany’s voice played. The room went quiet in the best way. They shared private vows with each other, followed by vows to each other’s families, which made the ceremony feel deeply personal and connected. They included their dogs in photos, honored family tradition with a Samoan dance during the reception, and ended the night with a classic car getaway. Every detail felt intentional and true to them.

An Elevated Bar Experience

For the bar, they chose two signature drinks that quickly became guest favorites. The Papa Smurf and the Pineapple Old Fashioned were both huge hits throughout the night. The bar stayed busy, but our team never missed a beat. Guests are still talking about how good the drinks were and how smoothly everything flowed. The champagne tower was a standout moment, and the attention to detail, right down to the correct stirrers for each cocktail, did not go unnoticed.

Looking back, the bar helped create exactly what Matthew and Bethany were hoping for. A classy, elevated party where guests could relax, celebrate, and enjoy every moment.

A Day We’ll Always Remember

This was the kind of wedding that reminds me why I love what we do. Great people, a strong vendor team, thoughtful details, and a celebration that felt joyful from start to finish. Matthew and Bethany, thank you for trusting us with such an important part of your day. It was an absolute honor to be part of it.

An Incredible Vendor Team

One of the reasons this wedding felt so seamless from start to finish was the vendor team behind it. Everyone came prepared, communicated clearly, and genuinely cared about creating the best possible experience for Matthew and Bethany. When vendors trust each other, anticipate needs, and work toward the same vision, it shows, and this team delivered that at every turn.

It was a pleasure to work alongside such talented professionals, and days like this are a reminder of how impactful the right vendor partnerships can be.
