Celebrating Matthew Jackson’s Retirement at Castle Spirits Distillery
When our friends Matthew and Connie Jackson asked Top Shelf to cater Matthew’s retirement party, it was truly an honor. Retirement represents years of dedication, leadership, and legacy. It deserves to be celebrated well.
As we talked through their vision, I shared a few venue suggestions that matched the theme and overall vibe they were hoping to create. They ultimately chose Castle Spirits Distillery, an Oklahoma City distillery we’ve had the pleasure of working with many times. Once the space was secured, we focused on crafting an experience that felt warm, abundant, and completely enjoyable for their guests.
For the bar, we kept it classic and crowd-pleasing with Rum and Cokes and our famous margaritas flowing throughout the night. Simple, timeless, and exactly what guests love to sip while celebrating.
The food brought that same comforting, celebratory feel. We served hearty lasagna, creamy chicken alfredo, and a fresh Italian salad that balanced everything beautifully. It was the kind of meal that feels like gathering around the table with family, elevated just enough to make the night feel special.
What meant the most was hearing how much they loved the entire experience. From communication to flexibility to execution on event day, everything came together seamlessly.
